The naturally aspirated LGX V6 has a different monitoring focus from the turbo four-cylinder and LT1 V8. Build the display around readings returned by this engine rather than importing another Camaro trim’s entire list.

Use one Flock 52mm Gauge with the OBD-II setup available on the Flock gauge product page. The readings returned by your vehicle determine which display options you can use.

What to monitor on this engine

Coolant temperature and oil temperature make a useful starting view for the naturally aspirated LGX V6. Add oil pressure for a closer view of engine lubrication and transmission-fluid temperature for an automatic gearbox.

Installation approach

Use the under-instrument-panel diagnostic connector identified in the owner’s manual. Before fixing a mount, check visibility with the seat in your driving position and keep the connection accessible for service.

Start with standard OBD-II readings such as coolant temperature or RPM, then add custom manufacturer-specific PIDs in the gauge settings. You can also connect wired sensors to display additional measurements.

Custom PID settings

The following OBDb custom PID definitions are compatible with the current Flock firmware. Enter the request, CAN header, formula and unit shown below in the gauge’s custom-PID settings.

Transmission fluid temperature, variant 1
  • Request: 221940
  • CAN header: 7E0
  • Formula: A-40
  • Unit: C
Calculated engine oil pressure
  • Request: 221C1B
