For a Silverado, choose readings around payload and towing conditions. Heavy-duty Duramax setups use separate pages from light-duty gasoline engines.
What to monitor on this engine
Coolant temperature and RPM are practical first readings for this engine. Oil temperature and pressure are useful additions for warm-up and sustained engine load; a wired sensor provides a separate measurement route. Engine RPM and coolant readings describe the combustion engine; they are separate from traction-battery measurements. An automatic-transmission temperature reading belongs to the automatic gearbox; it should not be labeled as a manual-gearbox reading.
Installation approach
A fixed bracket near the driver’s instruments works well as a starting layout; retain access to trailer and lighting controls. Fit the mount from your normal seating position before fixing it in place.
Connect the OBD-II adapter at the vehicle diagnostic connector and secure its cable along fixed trim. Leave the connector accessible for servicing. Follow the Flock user manual for gauge power, adapter setup and wired-sensor connections.
OBD-II and wired readings
Choose standard OBD-II readings such as coolant temperature, RPM, intake-air temperature and vehicle speed in the gauge menu. Use wired sensors when you want an independent oil-temperature, oil-pressure or boost measurement.
Configure your gauge
The gauge displays whole-number OBD readings. For temperature definitions labeled C, use the gauge’s temperature preference to choose Celsius or Fahrenheit.
