This turbocharged four-cylinder Bronco can have a manual or automatic transmission. Make the transmission type part of the monitoring setup: an automatic-fluid reading is not a substitute for a manual gearbox temperature sensor.

What to monitor on this engine
Use coolant temperature and intake-air temperature as the starting view for slow trail work. Oil temperature and oil pressure add context when the engine is working hard. Choose transmission readings that match your manual or automatic gearbox.
Installation approach
Keep the gauge mount separate from removable roof and door hardware. Test cable clearance with the steering wheel adjusted and the driver’s knee moving through its normal range.
Start with standard OBD-II readings such as coolant temperature or RPM, then add custom manufacturer-specific PIDs in the gauge settings. You can also connect wired sensors to display additional measurements.
