F-450 entries refer to Super Duty chassis-cab applications. Select the 6.0L engine entry rather than the later 6.4L diesel.
For an F-450 chassis cab, keep the engine-monitoring display separate from auxiliary equipment controls and upfitter wiring.
What to monitor on this engine
Coolant temperature and RPM are practical first readings for this engine. Add intake-air temperature for a view of intake heat under repeated load. If you display pressure, keep absolute manifold pressure distinct from boost relative to atmosphere.
Installation approach
Use a fixed cab bracket and an independent harness route that can be serviced without dismantling work-equipment controls. Fit the mount from your normal seating position before fixing it in place.
Connect the OBD-II adapter at the vehicle diagnostic connector and secure its cable along fixed trim. Leave the connector accessible for servicing. Follow the Flock user manual for gauge power, adapter setup and wired-sensor connections.
OBD-II and wired readings
Choose standard OBD-II readings such as coolant temperature, RPM, intake-air temperature and vehicle speed in the gauge menu. Use wired sensors when you want an independent oil-temperature, oil-pressure or boost measurement.
Configure your gauge
The gauge displays whole-number OBD readings. For temperature definitions labeled C, use the gauge’s temperature preference to choose Celsius or Fahrenheit.
