2019–2023 Ford Ranger 2.3L EcoBoost I4 Gauge Setup

Flock 52mm Gauge
One gauge for OBD-II data and wired sensors. Choose your setup below.

The US-market 2019–2023 Ranger pairs a 2.3L turbocharged engine with an automatic transmission. This page keeps that setup separate from the redesigned 2024 Ranger and global diesel versions.
Use one Flock 52mm Gauge with the OBD-II setup available on the Flock gauge product page. The readings returned by your vehicle determine which display options you can use.
What to monitor on this engine
Choose coolant and intake-air temperature as the baseline. For towing or sustained climbs, include transmission-fluid temperature. Oil temperature and oil pressure provide additional engine information.
Installation approach
Check the gauge angle from the driver’s seat before fixing the mount. Leave access to the diagnostic connector for servicing, and secure the adapter connection rather than allowing it to hang in the footwell.
Start with standard OBD-II readings such as coolant temperature or RPM, then add custom manufacturer-specific PIDs in the gauge settings. You can also connect wired sensors to display additional measurements.
Custom PID settings
The following OBDb custom PID definitions are compatible with the current Flock firmware. Enter the request, CAN header, formula and unit shown below in the gauge’s custom-PID settings.
Engine oil temperature
- Request:
221310 - CAN header:
7E0 - Formula:
(A*256+B)/100-40 - Unit: C
Oil pressure
- Request:
220415 - CAN header:
7E0 - Formula:
(A-256*floor(A/128))*256+B - Unit: kPa
Transmission fluid temperature, variant 1
- Request:
221674 - CAN header:
7E0 - Formula:
(A*256+B)/8 - Unit: F
Configure your gauge
