For a turbocharged Jetta or GLI, engine heat is a useful first screen. Use the engine entry rather than borrowing diesel settings.
What to monitor on this engine
Coolant temperature and RPM are practical first readings for this engine. Add intake-air temperature for a view of intake heat under repeated load. If you display pressure, keep absolute manifold pressure distinct from boost relative to atmosphere. An automatic-transmission temperature reading belongs to the automatic gearbox; it should not be labeled as a manual-gearbox reading.
Installation approach
Keep the display visible above the steering-wheel rim and preserve access to the center-stack controls. Fit the mount from your normal seating position before fixing it in place.
Connect the OBD-II adapter at the vehicle diagnostic connector and secure its cable along fixed trim. Leave the connector accessible for servicing. Follow the Flock user manual for gauge power, adapter setup and wired-sensor connections.
