Extra Sensors

Regular price $35.00
/

Pre-Orders will ship with other items that are ordered. If you order a sticker with a gauge, the sticker and the gauge will ship together. If you just order a sticker, the sticker will ship as soon as they are received

Additional sensors for people who already have a gauge! The sensor comes with the harness to connect it to the gauge.

Temperature Sensor

1/8 NPT, works with any liquid (coolant, oil, etc.)

Pressure Sensor

1/8 NPT, works with any liquid or air (coolant, oil, fuel, boost etc.)
Goes up to 150psi, if you go past that you'll break it

Boost Sensor

It's got a barb at the end to tap into your vacuum line. Measures up to 3bar (~40 psi) of boost

Custom Sensor Harness

This is a 8ft harness that you can use to hook up any custom sensor you want. Right now the gauge supports sensors that output a linear 0-5v signal. later I'll be adding the ability to upload resistance tables so you can upload non-linear resistance based sensors as well.

OBDII Adapter

Read from your OBDII port. This is still early in development but I'll be adding more PIDs and functionality soon!

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work with my car?

The Flock Gauge works with any car:

  • OBD-II port (1996+ in USA, 2001+ in Europe)
  • Standard analog sensors (oil pressure, temp, etc.)
    • You will need to install adapters for the sensors. This is generally as easy as an oil change or cutting a hose and putting an adapter in the hose
  • Or both

If you're not sure, DM me @flock_mfg with your car year/make/model and I'll confirm compatibility within 24 hours and let you know the best setup

Why $180 vs a $40 gauge?

A $40 gauge shows one sensor. The Flock Gauge shows up to 4 sensors, lets you add/change as you go and is extremely customizable. If you decide you want to add on an oil pressure gauge and not just have oil temp all you have to do is get another sensor and hook it up to the gauge. You can also hook it up to a gameboy advanced and display your sensors there.

  • 4 separate $40 gauges = $160 + mounting 4 holes in your dash + cluttered look
  • 1 Flock Gauge = $180 + $35 sensors + one 52mm hole + clean aesthetic + unlimited future sensor options

You're paying for:

  • Flexibility (add new sensors without new gauges)
  • Dash real estate (one gauge vs. four)
  • The aesthetic (Gameboy vibe that matches 90s cars)
  • Anti-gatekeeping (I'm not marking this up 500% like traditional gauge companies)
What can I customize?
  • Custom Background Images
  • Custom Needle for analog gauge
  • Custom colors
  • Screen layouts (choose what data displays)
  • Sensor naming (call it whatever you want)
  • Display modes (single sensor, multi-sensor, scrolling)
  • Warning thresholds (set your own alerts)

Full control: You decide what your gauge shows and how. Want oil temp front and center? Done. Want it to cycle through boost → oil temp → coolant temp every 5 seconds? Done. Want to name sensors something funny? Go for it.

Coming soon: Custom startup animations. (Follow @flock_mfg for updates)

How does the GBA adapter work?

The GBA (Gameboy Advance) adapter lets you use Flock Gauge as a functional gauge with a completely stock Gameboy Advance. It loads a custom ROM (Game) onto the GBA through the link cable at bootup and then reads data from the gauge.

Real talk: The GBA adapter is 20% functional, 80% vibe.

  • Functional: Yes, it works as a real gauge on the GBA
  • Practical: Kind of, the screen is a decent size on the GBA
  • Vibes: Yes

Who it's for: People who want the ultimate retro build aesthetic. Most customers stick with the 52mm dash mount because it's easier to read while driving.

Honestly? I built this because I thought it was cool. If you want maximum practicality, get the standard version. If you like the vibes, get the GBA adapter.

Do you support custom PIDs with OBDII?

Yes. Flock Gauge supports 80+ standard OBD-II PIDs plus custom PIDs for manufacturer specific sensors.

Stock car? Don't worry about PIDs - plug it in via OBD-II and it just works with standard sensors (RPM, coolant temp, speed, etc.)

Will the gauge work with stock sensors?

Yes, if your car has OBD-II (1996+), it works with stock sensors through the OBD-II port. For cars without OBD-II you can wire in analog sensors separately.

You have options:

Option 1 - OBD-II only (easiest):

  • Plug into OBD-II port
  • Monitor: RPM, coolant temp, speed, throttle position, etc.
  • No additional sensors needed
  • Good for stock or lightly modded cars

Option 2 - Add analog sensors (more data):

  • Connect Flock to aftermarket sensors (oil pressure, oil temp, boost, etc.)
  • These sensors aren't included - you buy them separately

Common setup: OBD-II for basic data + 1-2 analog sensors for oil temp/pressure
